Bless Me

Blessme (real name: Blessme Phiri) is a rapper, spoken word poet and graphic designer based in Zomba city. He started music in his childhood days inspired by his elder brother Arthur Phiri A.K.A Spy Cat who is now a producer in Kasungu. He fell in love with Hip-hop when he was in secondary school and started performing cover songs plus his own written bars on stage during variety shows.

In 2010, he got born again and started writing Christ-centric lyrics. In 2012, he started his first year at Chancellor College and joined a campus-based Christian group called Kingdom Movement (KMT) which did urban gospel songs predominantly hip-hop.

After graduating from college in 2016, Blessme strated a solo music journey and worked on his first mixtape in 2018 titled "Songs of a Professional Son". In 2019 he dropped an EP called "Thupi ndi Mzimu" and in 2020, he dropped another EP called "Through HipHop". He is currently finalizing his first full album titled "Mkaka ndi Uchi" which will drop this year.

Blessme is inspired by international rap artists like Bizzle, Shai Linne, and Evangel as well as local rappers like David Kalirani, Masomphenya, Double Z, G-Newo and Pro Gain.
