Spokesman

Simeon Mononga, aka Spokesman (°1986, Dedza, Malawi) is a Malawian hip hop Artist. With a conceptual approach, Spokesman uses HIP HOP as a vessel to
addresses many different social and political issues in Malawi and the world.

Spokesman’s subject matter is multi-layered but often told from an honest in-depth philosophical perspective of the artist himself.
Whether it be on his braggadocio or his conscience raps Spokesman provides a unique illustration of his world view through music.

His music bears political references, pop and mass culture, sexuality, violence and a wide scale of subjects in a multifaceted way, that enthrals the listener.
His work is notable for its flow execution and tactile nature that bears witness to great craftsmanship.

Spokesman has worked with many artists in the Malawian and International HIP HOP Scene including, ThirdEye, Dominant One,
Justsus Divine, The Art of Rhetoric, Black Isco, Sage Poet, Tron, Menace, Venancio, GD, C-Scripture, Famous, Boy Magic, Desert Eagle... The list is extensive.

Simeon Mononga currently lives and works in Blantyre.
