Sage Poet is a socially conscious emcee and producer from Malawi, Africa. He has been active in the Hip Hop game since 2004 And dropped a couple of projects along the way. His first was Dominant Poetics with a long time producer Dominant 1. This album was released in 2009. The second one is Unsung Heroes with another long time Producer RebelMusiQ and this album was released in 2011. The third album released was Mastering The Pain Magnum Opus, also produced by Dominant 1 and was released in 2015. In 2018 to 2019 Sage Poet collaborated with another old time producer Justus Divine for two consecutive projects, Alchemy 2018 and Secrets Of The Secrets which are both available on all streaming platforms. Parable Of The Chariot is his latest project, that dropped March 2021. In 2021 he also released a 2014 project that didn't make the release at the time, the project is titled Heroe's Journey, entirely produced by RebelMusiQ. With his dense lyrics touching on subjects such as African history, colonialism, spirituality, religion, love, and more, Sage Poet is reminiscent in a way of old school conscious Hip Hop. Hip Hop listeners willing to look for something culturally authentic will find a lot to enjoy in Sage Poet’s collection.
